Baskonia-Alavés Group was established in 2011 as a global leader in sports management. Through Baskonia (basketball) and Alavés (football), it participates in top elite competitions in both sports, such as the Euroleague Basketball, Liga Endesa, and LaLiga. Additionally, the group develops and organizes sports events, corporate social responsibility programs, and educational initiatives.
In 2022, the group founded ‘The Faktory’, an innovation and new business hub for the sports industry. It aims to drive the generation of resources for the group and position Vitoria-Gasteiz as a leader in new business models, sustainability, inclusion, and new technologies.
The Baskonia Alavés Group is composed of a conglomerate of companies from various fields. The group’s objective was to create a data lake to integrate and organize data sources from all departments, including season ticket and ticket sales (Baskonia and Alavés), merchandising, catering, marketing, etc.
The organization wanted a single customized dashboard that included tables, charts, and visualizations of interest, updated daily with new data and through which they could gain a competitive advantage from their data by applying artificial intelligence.
Custom Business Intelligence Platform for the Baskonia-Alavés Group
Following the group’s request, a Business Intelligence platform was created to integrate all the club’s data sources into a single platform. This enables the group to centralize all interactions between the club and customers through CRM projects. Additionally, our solution can perform cross-analysis between all data sources, allowing the relationship of metrics related to sales, attendance, catering, merchandising, etc., for the same event or season.
Our solution has the ability to scale to new data sources, with the assurance of availability, integrity, security, and access control among different users within the conglomerate.
Furthermore, Artificial Intelligence systems have been developed to implement predictive models with the goal of reducing uncertainty in decision-making, task automation, and contextualization for new scenarios.
