ICAA Trusts Olocip for the Development of an AI-Powered Smart Platform for Spanish Cinema

Olocip has taken a significant step in transforming the audiovisual sector through the development of an innovative artificial intelligence tool for the Spanish Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA). This advancement is part of the modernization and digitalization project driven by Spain’s Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan.

The primary goal of this collaboration is to equip the ICAA with advanced capabilities for analyzing and managing qualitative and quantitative data within the institution’s dossiers. By implementing artificial intelligence, the new tool enables more efficient, accurate, and automated information management, streamlining workflows and facilitating data-driven decision-making.

The development of this tool incorporates cutting-edge technologies such as:

• Natural Language Processing (NLP): Extracts valuable insights from textual data, automatically categorizing content and simplifying the analysis of large datasets.
• Time Series Analysis: Identifies patterns and trends over time, providing a clearer perspective on the sector’s behavior.
• AI Explainability: Ensures users understand how algorithms operate, fostering trust in the results and enabling informed decision-making.

Throughout the project, significant advancements have been achieved, including automation in the classification of audiovisual works, optimization of data management, and enhancements in decision-making processes through AI:

• Advanced Automation: The tool automatically classifies and organizes audiovisual works by theme and content using machine learning, NLP, and generative AI techniques.
• Process Optimization: The project has developed a Data Lakehouse to manage data ingestion, unification, cleaning, and enrichment, ensuring data integrity and security while enabling faster access to information.
• Improved Decision-Making: AI-driven analyses are presented through business intelligence dashboards, providing detailed insights into industry needs and trends, helping stakeholders act strategically.
